Do All Things With LOVE

Happy February, teacher friends!! I am so excited to be linking up with my sweet, talented, superstar teacher friends, Angie Olson from Lucky Little Learners and Ashley Schroeder from Schroeder Shenanigans to share all about the things we LOVE most!

It’s the season of love, after all, and I’ve decided to share just a little bit about the PEOPLE that I love and a little about the STUFF I love.

Oh, my little Ellie and Beau.  Tiny versions of their daddy, they make me more exhausted and more happy than I ever thought I could be, and their love for each other continues to grow each day.  We just got back from a much-needed weekend of relaxation at our family lake house at Lake Texoma, and spent two delightful days running in the fresh air, taking jeep rides, eating fried catfish, and putting pennies on the railroad tracks.  Life is a LOT quieter and slower at the lake, which is great for someone like me who struggles to “unplug” and put work aside.  I only had my laptop out for a couple hours (with NO WIFI, heaven forbid!) working on product covers and the rest of the time was spent being ONLY a momma and wife.

Of course, since it’s almost Valentine’s Day, my husband and partner in crime comes at the top of my People I Love list too!  I thank God every day for bringing me a partner who balances me and brings me back to Earth, not to mention devotes himself tirelessly to our little ones.  This Saturday, he is bringing Ellie to her first “Daddy Daughter Dance” and my heart couldn’t be more full!

The ladies in this picture are my best friends, because my teacher friends are my BEST friends.  This was taken at my Teacher of the Year Banquet back in 2013, and is filled with teammates, student teachers, former colleagues, and administrators.  My relationships with these ladies are lasting and true, and each one of them has been a blessing in my life as a friend and colleague. I don’t know what I would do without them!

PHOTO COMING SOON of me and my incredible teacher blogger/TpTer/#tptchat/Periscope friends that I Can. Not. Wait. to actually meet in person at the TpT Conference in Orlando this summer! I connected with so many amazing friends through social media throughout 2015, and I can’t wait to give each of them a great big real life hug.  Look out Angie, Ashley, Sheila, Erin, Cassandra, Amber, Lori, Kelli, Jen, and SO MANY MORE…You’d better have open arms waiting when I finally get to meet you!

Alright, so I am a full believer that people matter a whole LOT more than stuff, but that doesn’t change the fact that the items pictured above give me squeals of happiness and fuel for my day, not to mention contain little pieces of my sanity.

My Flair pens and Erin Condren notebook make me feel like a teenager writing in her beautiful, secret journal and my monthly project cases have brought a magical balance and prettiness to my once horrifically messy files.

I also have a bit of a guilty pleasure for Kendra Scott earrings and try to reward myself from time to time for all my overtime TpT hours.  And of course, my MacBook and coffee, coffee, and more coffee (with more vanilla creamer than actual coffee) allow me to be a happy and productive #GirlBoss each day!

Here`s to a fabulous February!
