  1. Elva F.

I started using this as a homework alternative once a month. My parents LOVED IT! So the next year I kept that idea; but instead of an alternative, I just made it homework once a month. Then the students would present their ideas, materials, process, what they would do next time, ect. in a classroom presentation. I would take pictures and send them to their parents AND to the principal. My students were in the school newsletter on several occasions, and that made the students and parents even more engaged! If you are looking for something that will give your students that “I GET IT” face, that we all went into teaching for, this is the thing. I am working with low income and high ELL. I didn’t expect this response from the students. This is amazing!!!!! Thank you so much! -Elva F.

  2. Kristy Kaiser

This was an excellent resource during distance learning! It provided a numerous choices for my third graders to participate in activities at home. I was so pleased to see a number of activities the students could complete without having to purchase materials – very cognizant of students in all cultural communities and demographics. Will use in some way every year. Thanks for sharing!! -Kristy Kaiser

I dont know who enjoyed this resource more, my students, their parents, or me!!! My students always go nuts over the new project and get so excited. I teach in a low income area, so encouraging students to use natural materials or items found around the house really challenged them to use their creativity. -Kristin S.

We have been remote learning all year and i knew I had to find a way to include STEM. This is a wonderful resource, already intended to be done at home with the family. My students received a “packet” of a few of the activities and they are working on one per week and sharing their projects in our virtual meetings. It’s been wonderful! -Kinderpillars
